Located in the beautiful area of the Conero, Marchetti is a recognized Montepulciano expert. The estate farms about 20 hectares and produces roughly 60,000 bottles a year. Soils in their area are a natural continuation of nearby Abruzzo and very rich in clay, which contributes to wines of real power and structure. Lorenzo Landi was brought in as winemaking consultant in 2003 by owner Maurizio Marchetti, and his influenced has led to brighter, more perfumed wines: Landi is especially gifted at identifying the optimal time to harvest and never risks making over-the-top, heavy wines.
